What is power?
A Definition: Power is the ability to do or act; to possess control or command over one’s self and others; authority, political ascendancy, or control over education, the government, or the state.
Power is in reality the ability to do or act and control resources. The key to all power is knowledge or wisdom. Knowledge is both a resource and form of power, a way in which we can study the natural world. Knowledge is based on facts learned through experiences, experiments and observations as human beings to attain and expand our understanding of life in order to use our resources better and provide for the power of change. Wisdom more specifically is knowledge that is gained by having many experiences in life and the ability to discern inner qualities and relationships — the resources of humanity.
What is a power structure?
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines power structure as:
1: a group of persons having control of an organization : establishment
2: the hierarchical relationships existing within a controlling group
Power structures result from the organization of social structures and the needs of individuals to form groups.
Power structures result from the needs of individuals to form groups and organize social structures to attain goals.
Knowledge is a form of power. Power is the ability to do or act, to
possess control or command over one’s self and others, authority, political ascendancy or control over education, the government or the state. Science is a means to study our experiences as human beings, to attain and expand our knowledge and provide the power for change.
Knowledge Base of Life
(too much knowledge is a dangerous thing)…???
There are two main branches of science: natural sciences, which study natural phenomena (including fundamental forces and biological life) and the social sciences, which study human behavior and societies.
Social science is commonly used as an umbrella term to refer to a plurality of fields outside of the natural sciences. These include: anthropology, archaeology, business administration, communication, criminology, economics, education, government, linguistics, international relations, political science, sociology, geography, history, law, and psychology. Social sciences help us to reflect on our human experience to create meaning and better fulfill ourselves.

An aspect of Sociology describes and explains power structures by asking: Who has power? By what means is it attained? How is it used?
An aspect of Psychology attends to how individuals respond to these three questions of power.
But is there a different kind of power? The power behind action?

What is our knowledge base of life?
The basis of all knowledge is the nature of philosophy — the love of wisdom or the search for truth, that which is real or genuine. We are all philosophers. We all attempt to answer fundamental questions of life: problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Socially, culturally and in time, many propositions have been made, many answers have been suggested. Some of these answers have been truths and more beneficial to supporting the life force of humanity. All things change with time. The question remains: Is there a time for peace?
If you are interested in learning more about philosophy as a field and its sub fields, you can see its subdivisions here. Please feel free.

Epistemology
The study or a theory of the nature and grounds of knowledge especially with reference to its limits and validity.
|
Logic
The study that addresses the formal processes used in thinking and reasoning. |
Metaphysics
The study concerned with the fundamental nature of reality and being, concerned with the basic causes and nature of things. |
Ethics
The study that deals with ideas about what is good and bad behavior, dealing with moral values of right or wrong and a theory or system of moral values. |
Aesthetics
The study of beauty, art, enjoyment, sensory and emotional values, perception, and matters of taste and sentiment. |
In the beginning, humanity had to address the concerns of living in the world with a consciousness from which philosophy began. Looking at the creatures of the world, they knew what to do and humanity did not. From Eastern to Western philosophies, from Ancient philosophies — Egyptian, Chinese, Graeco-Roman, Indian and Persian — through to Medieval, Renaissance, Hindu, and Islamic philosophies to modern contemporary philosophies with the major traditions of pragmatism, phenomenology, existentialism, structuralism, analytic philosophy, and applied philosophy — all philosophies become the starting point for science. Science, or our systemized understanding of knowledge, consists of three main branches: the formal, the natural and the social sciences. Here they are listed:

The most fundamental questions of humanity throughout the sciences are in regard to the management and control of resources. A resource is a source or supply from which benefit is produced. The application of power structures comes into play as a means of controlling resources. A power structure is a group of persons having control of an organization or establishment, and the hierarchical relationships existing within a controlling group. Power structures result from the organization of social structures and the needs of individuals to form groups in order to survive and thrive better. Sociology asks the questions: Who has power? By what means is it attained and how is it used?
There is a secret behind power structures and if you as a woman want power in partnership with men, you need to realize the power of the unseen that motivates doing and action. The power behind action is your spirit. As woman, you are the most fundamental resource there is.
Reflect on this…Oh, you can’t get out backwards…gotta go forwards to go back…

The Survey
Do you belong to any Power structures? yes/no
Answer:
In reality we all belong to power structures by the mere fact that we are human. The ability to use our minds and organize information is in itself a power structure for the purpose of building foundations of knowledge and wisdom as well as systems to live our lives better. What other power structures can help you to have a more effective life?
